Google will launch YouTube Gaming, the streaming video site's gaming-focused service, Aug. 26 on the web and in dedicated Android and iOS apps, Google announced yesterday.

a built-in DVR mode will allow viewers to rewind anywhere in the last four hours of a livestream, which is nice. YouTube claims the hub will automatically sort content in helpful categories.

The web portal should work anywhere YouTube does, while the app will launch in the UK and US tomorrow, with other territories to follow.
