Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes ships 1 million units

Konami has revealed that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has shipped over one million copies globally.

The figure only includes physical copies shipped to retailers, so it doesn’t factor in digital sales of the stealth-action prequel over PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Ground Zeroes was released on March 18 in the U.S. and March 21 in Europe. The game stars Big Boss (aka Snake) as he infiltrates a heavily-fortified prison complex known as Camp Omega, where he is tasked with extricating two POWs by whatever means necessary.
