Far Cry 4 new trailer

On PlayStation allows you to invite a co-op friend even if they don’t own the game

PlayStation 4 owners of Far Cry 4 will be able to invite up to ten PlayStation Network players to join them in coop missions, regardless of whether or not they own the game.

Announced at the PlayStation conference at Gamescom today, the platform-exclusive offer allows pals to "explore together," for up to two hours each. Players can "capture outposts and create you own stories," according to a trailer.

Far Cry 4, also shown in more detail a separate trailer (below) detailing some of the game's Himalayan combat zones and a search for the secrets of Shangri-La, is out on multiple platforms on Nov. 18.
