Grand Theft Auto V for PC hasn't been confirmed by Rockstar Games, but that isn't stopping cyber-criminals from preying on its hopeful fans.
According to Trend Micro, a company specializing in online security, users are receiving emails that offer entry into a non-existent GTA V PC beta test. The attached .ZIP file opens an application named "Your promo code in app rockstargames.com," which actually leads to a backdoor called BKDR_ANDROM.ATG.
You'd think the email's poor grammar and unofficial look would bring up skepticism, but apparently some are too eager to take a closer look. Take a look at the sample spam email below.
