NBA 2K15 Cover Athlete to be Kevin Durant

In a press release sent earlier yesterday, 2K Sports has announced that Grammy Award-winning musician Pharrell Williams is set to “curate” NBA 2K15′s soundtrack.

According to the presser, Williams will “curate the most extensive and unique soundtrack compilation in NBA 2K franchise history;” with the artist himself adding, “”It was a cool experience. I tried to curate songs that were diverse but yet still proved to be motivational to gamers,..It was important to me that the music complemented the on-court action of NBA basketball inNBA 2K15. I hope everyone enjoys it.”

And in case you didn’t know, this year’s cover athlete will be Kevin Durant the Oklahoma Thunders. Sorry, Cavaliers fans. It seems seeing Lebron James as the cover athlete wearing a Cleveland uniform is not in the cards this year.

NBA 2K15 will be out for PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on October 7.
