Bungie will launch a beta version of its cooperative first-person shooter Destiny in July, publisher Activision announced today during its first-quarter earnings call.

The beta arrives ahead of the game's planned multiplatform debut on September 9. Aspreviously announced, players who pre-order the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4 versions ofDestiny will get the first crack at its upcoming beta.
