Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Call of Duty’s next villain is indeed Kevin Spacey

A new screenshot for Call of Duty 2014 displays multiple military soldiers fitted in exoskeleton armor suits.

The video appeared on the Call of Duty Instagram and YouTube channel, and suggests Spacey’s role is as a villain

Call of Duty 2014 will feature Kevin Spacey after all, if this new official teaser is to be believed.

The Sledgehammer Games-developed title centers on a private military corporationthat has turned on the United States government. The rogue organization is headed by a nefarious character portrayed by actor Kevin Spacey, whose villainous role was revealed by Activision earlier today.

The trailer hints at new abilities available to players such as an exoskeleton, equipping characters with superior strength along with the ability to scale vertical surfaces and leap further. The footage also features hoverbikes, a weaponized mech suit and cloaking for both vehicles and characters.

A promotional mini-documentary for the game released today centered on the rise of private military corporations (PMCs) over the past 20 years and stated: "In the next Call of Duty, the world's most powerful military is not a country. It's a corporation." The video highlighted how PMCs, who will fight for human-rights groups or terrorists for the right price, are pulling soldiers from national armies with higher payment for shorter deployment periods.

The release date displayed at the end of the trailer is November 4
